How do I use Ontario 511

Imagine knowing about incidents, closures and road work, all before starting your trip?

Ontario 511 lets you know before you go.

You can get real-time information directly from the Ministry of Transportation.

Making your experience personal is easy with the new My511 feature.

To get started, create an account and confirm your email.

To receive notifications on your phone you must verify your phone number with a code you will receive by way of text.

Once registered, you can set up MyRoutes. Enter your start and end points, click your mode of transportation, choose your route and name it and save.

Ontario 511 displays over 450 cameras, save your favourite by adding it to MyCameras.

You can create MyAlerts for your routes based on travel time and choose if you would like to receive alerts by email or text.

Because the more you know, the easier it is for you to go.

And spend the time doing the things that matter most.
